The Miller Music Studio

My name is Lisa Miller, and my personal philosophy of music education is to inspire a lifelong love music, and to provide a safe and fun learning environment for my students to grow! The benefits of studying music from any age are countless, and I love helping my students along that journey. 
 
You can take lessons even if you've never touched an instrument before, just want to get back into it a little, or are looking to keep up your student's skills while they're at home. Having one on one music lessons also helps to give future band students a head start during the summer months before class starts. I do both in person lessons in the Fingerlakes, NY area and virtual lessons across the United States!
 
While taking lessons, I encourage and help my students in pursuing individual musical interests, such as learning how to compose, exploring different genres of music, and learning pieces that may be important to their family or culture.

Growth in musical abilities does require consistent practice. Practice time is dependent on age and skill level, although every student learns at their own pace. I help students set clear, student centered goals to make practicing easier.
